who we are
The late Raymond E. Fontaine was the founder Tinkham Management. Raymond Fontaine began his professional career as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II. After serving in the Army, he joined his father’s construction company, Fontaine Bros., which has been in business successfully 75 years and counting. Working for his father, Raymond noticed that there was a need to help run and manage the properties that the construction company was building and acquiring. In 1972, Raymond founded Tinkham Management. Tinkham Management first started with 50 apartments and 50,000 square feet of commercial space. Over the years, we have successfully grown to manage over 650 apartments and 200,000 square feet of commercial space. We currently employ 22 full time and part time workers across western Massachusetts.
We want to create a community where our tenants want to call their apartments their home. We want to make sure that all tenants feel safe and secure at all times and that the living conditions are up to your standards.
We are always looking for opportunities to expand and acquire new properties, but that is not at the cost of our current tenants. We are always finding ways to improve all of our sites, may it be new roofs or repaving the parking lots. Our on site managers have built relationships with the best contractors in their respective areas to renovate and improve our apartments.
Our responsibility is to the tenant and the tenant only. We want to make sure that, when you are in your home, you are comfortable and can rest easy. If there is a problem or an issue that needs to be addressed, our on site managers are more than happy to take a look at the problem. If they cannot resolve the issue, we will work with the the best outside help to resolve the issue.
